How to get the best results from your professional waxing treatment

Getting waxed by a professional is the best way to ensure smooth, consistent and longer lasting results. To improve these results, we recommend the following before, during and after your treatment:


  1. Prep your skin: Exfoliating a couple of days before your waxing appointment will help to remove dead skin cells, making it easier for the wax to adhere to the hair.

  2. Moisturise! (everyday, except for on the day of treatment): Healthy moisturised skin allows wax to release more easily making it less painful and giving a much better waxing result.

  3. Timing is key: Scheduling your wax appointments every 4 to 6 weeks will ensure your hairs are all on the same growth cycle and are at the appropriate length for best waxing results and minimal discomfort.

  4. Communicate with your technician: Be sure to let your technician know about any sensitive areas, or if you have any allergies or medical conditions that may affect the waxing process.

  5. Keep the area clean and dry: Avoid using lotions, oils, or any other products on the area to be waxed on the day of your appointment.

  6. After care: After your wax, avoid hot showers, exercise, steam rooms or saunas for at least 24-48 hours. Excessive heat and sweating can cause irritation while follicles are still open and exposed.

  7. Use soothing lotions or aloe vera gel to reduce redness and irritation.
